Karo Hajam
Karo Hajam is a musician, farmer, flutemaker, barber, and landowner from a village near Mithi, Sindh. He plays the alghozo and changg, and also crafts his own flutes. His journey began at the age of five, listening to raag on the radio — a love that has stayed with him ever since. He learned to play from Abdullah Khoso and was mentored by Ustaad Rehmatullah Diplai. Inspired by legends like Misri Khan and Khamiso Khan, Karo sees music as food for the soul. Rhythm, for him, is what ties everything together — from livestock and land to spirit and sound. Through his music, he carries the winds, joys, and ache of Thar.
